Joel Stockstill Biography
Pastor Joel Stockstill is currently the lead pastor of Bethany World Prayer Center’s north campus as well as the youth pastor of 220, Bethany’s youth ministry based around Galatians 2:20. When Pastor Joel first began as youth pastor in the spring of 2003, there were 500 young people actively participating in the youth ministry. Within the first year, these numbers increased to over 900 people in weekly small-group attendance. Since that time, 220 has grown to include over 6,000 young people in weekly small-group attendance. Through radical prayer, evangelism, and discipleship, Pastor Joel is determined to see the lives of Baton Rouge youth transformed through Christ.
Despite continual attacks on his kidneys since the age of 12, Pastor Joel has been persistent in his pursuit to see this generation radically transformed by the power of the cross. In the summer of 2005, the Lord gave Pastor Joel a vision showcasing 1 million young people in Washington, D.C., declaring revolution to their nation, generation, and world. As Pastor Joel works toward the fulfillment of this national vision, he continues pastoring the local ministry that the Lord has established in Baton Rouge. .
